A quick update

I never know what to blog about and before I know it, months have flown by. Our summer has been passing us by. We've both been working and not doing much of anything else. A couple of friends got married, and I was able to take quite a few pictures. Here are a couple that are actually sized right.

Aunna started 5th grade this year. She's growing up so fast! When did that happen?

Oopsie

I changed our blogger address to benandkaylabeard.blogspot.com.
I didn't think it would effect anyone's links but it did.
Sorry.
If you wanna follow, I guess you've got to re-ad us.

Girls trip to Lake Havasu

This was a spur of the moment trip and SO much fun!
The first time I've ever gone on vacation w/out Ben. This was a big deal. :)
It was so fun and relaxing.
The weather was beautiful!
The hottest day was 103. So hot, and I loved it! I can handle the dry heat.

Popsicles by the pool.

 Day at the beach.
Aint she the cutest thing, EVER?!

Lizard liked hanging by the pool too.

Pedi's! Eliza too, on the end.

Shoes. Angela? In Jesus shoes? Yup.

Alesa & I made these one day. SO GOOD! Grilled cheese, pesto, pepperoni, avocado, tomato.

Angela? In a dress? Yup.
What happens on vacation stays on vacation! Unless there's pictures, then it goes on the internet!

HAHA! I love this little girl. She put them on all by herself. Angela gave her an A+ and sent her out to the pool before she noticed anything was a little off.

Yes, we went to McDonalds A LOT.
All healthy though. We had a lot of smoothies.
I think we had three in one day.
Actually left the house to go to town and drive back.
They were that good.

Sleeping beauties. Vacation is tiring! ;)

Woohoo! Two blog posts in one day.
Now to rush to get ready for work!

Treasure hunting

I know it's been forever since I've updated.
SORRY!
Ben and I went driving around on the 6th. We went and gathered up railroad nails and looked at some fun old stuff. Love spending time w/ my hunny. We don't get out much in the summer time so I love soaking it all in when we do.

Gotta figure out how it all worked.

It was pretty cool to find so much old tractor equipment. It's been there a while. We found a few with big Aspen trees grown through them.

 Bitch Creek

Farmers house. All of the stuff we found were on his dad's property.

Pot from farmers house. Had a tree grown through the middle.

 Cactus in Idaho.

Peanut Butter Parfaits!

Aunna and I made these peanut butter parfaits last week. So fattening and delicious.

Entertaining...

Our animals certainly keep us entertained.

Twist on a Benni!

These aren't your average eggs benedict! They are so much better!! We have these almost every Sunday. Heavenly is the best word to describe these. It took us a few tries to get the order and timing of everything down. And poaching an egg is harder than it looks ;) but ohh is it soo worth it!

English Muffins
Avacado
Eggs
Bacon
Tomato
Green onion
KNORR Hollandaise Sauce
Deli sliced oven roasted turkey

Chop up green onion, tomato, and slice avacado. Cook bacon, let cool and crumble or finely chop. Poach one egg for each benni. Heat each slice of turkey on a skillet you used for bacon. Toast english muffin.
Assemble:
english muffin
1 lg slice turkey
3 slices avocado (or 5 if you're me)
poached egg
hollandaise sauce
Top With:
bacon
green onion
tomato
I sprinkle some paprika over the hollandaise sauce. And I always make this with hash browns.
