36 Week Checkup

Checkup today went great, as usual. :)
Did the NST and she checked my fluid w/ U/S.
Baby didn't want to move a ton and get his heart rate up or down much and I'm so glad that Serena doesn't make us stick around the office all day waiting for tons of movement. He was moving though and there were small spikes so she let us pass. And the fact that he is and always has moved so much makes us more comfortable.
Fluid measures at just over 14; perfect.
20% softening, no dilation.
All that is great. The exact progress we want to be at. I don't want any dilation for 2 more weeks (38).
After that, I hope it happens quick!
I'm hoping and praying that my body will start my labor on it's own.
Getting close... :)

I've been really tired these past few days. Very thankful for my 2 hr nap today.

36 Weeks

I have been horrible about taking pictures of the pregnancy. I had Aunna take one real quick as the sun was going down tonight. I'll have to get a few more if I can in the next couple weeks. It's not a great picture, I hate how I look (I wish I could crop my head out!) but at least it's a picture. Had to adjust the color and crop a little bit and it's blurry... but Aunna did good for her first time w/ my camera and on manual. She'll be a photographer in no time! ;)

And wow. Look at those roots! My hair is going darker on Thursday!

35 Week Appointment

We had our 35 week appointment in Idaho Falls on Tuesday. We have had to have the last two appointments in Idaho Falls because the ultra-sound machines have been broken. Everything is wonderful with baby. He was a proud BOY yet again, showing off. ;)

He scored an 8/8. I'm not sure all the tests the tech ran but I know they take measurements in the heart, brain, lungs, and overall body size. We were able to save ourselves about an hour at the NST (non-stress test) because we were able to see him 'practicing' breathing. We were so excited our little boy is doing so great. We hope this great news continues! I will be 36 weeks on Saturday and we're officially down to our last month. Two more weeks and I'll be happy whenever he decides to come. If he doesn't, our Dr is still wanting to induce about a week early but we will know that within the next few weeks.

He's under 50% in all his measurements except the width of his head. He's about 70% on that measurement. Can't wait to meet this little guy, I think we're pretty ready for him to be here!

We have Dr's appointments every Tuesday from now until I deliver, so I will try to update with new information. Next week is the Strep B or Group B (?) test. I believe she'll check to see if there is any progress, too. I'm excited to hear. The ultrasound measured my cervix at 5, which is still plenty thick.

Went to a long 6 hr birthing class last weekend. They offered 4 weekly classes or one Saturday class. Glad we did it, it was very informative but we both thought it was way too long.

I've also got stretch marks now. :( I knew they would come but they kind of ruined my week. I was really hoping I could get by w/out them. And just today, my feet are starting to swell. Oh, the joys...

Baby Shower #1

My mom & Aunna put together a baby shower last weekend for me (2/16/13). They did so well with everything, I thought it was great. It was very small; only about 1/5 of the people invited showed up. But none-the-less, it was an awesome baby shower. {THANKS, MOM & AUNNA!!} We got so many gifts that we very much needed. I can't believe how close we are to getting this little boy here.

I thought she did awesome w/ the decorations and fun favors.

I'm kicking myself in the butt for not getting more pictures. For as much time as I spend with my camera, you'd think I'd take it out for events such as this! My mom got a few pictures on her phone, maybe I'll update the post w/ some of her pictures.

I have another shower next weekend that Alesa is throwing me. I'm so spoiled and blessed to have such awesome family.

More fun.

Here's a couple pictures from the past couple weeks from us playing in the trucks.

Darby

He reversed a little too quick. Ended up in the ditch with a grouchy wife. ;) This is our new 4Runner that he's put a lift on, new tires, and cleaned the hell out of. He gutted the car and him and a friend of his who owns a detail shop spent lots of time getting it cleaned up and the nasty smell out of it. It sat for 7 years and became a home for mice.
